What do you get when you make homemade granola using all raw ingredients?

Rawnola!

While the texture is slightly more chewy than traditional homemade granola which is baked in an oven, the taste is equally as delicious. I love making rawnola because it is extremely versatile. You can use it any way you would with granola – add it to smoothie bowls ( such as the ones we made yesterday ), chia pudding, on it’s own with some almond milk, or just eat it straight out of the jar!

Smoothie Bowls – What’s the Hype All About?

Yesterday I mentioned some detoxifying benefits of a vegan diet. One easy vegan recipe you can have for either breakfast or lunch is a smoothie bowl! Lately I have been obsessed with making smoothie bowls. If you’re not familiar with what it is, it’s basically just as the name states – a smoothie in a bowl. The smoothie is usually made much thicker ( more of a sorbet consistency ) and is topped with a variety of toppings.

One of the reasons I love smoothie bowls, aside from how delicious they are, is because they are much more filling than traditional smoothies due to all the toppings. Not only that, but I tend to eat them much slower than I would drink a smoothie.

Green Smoothie

Have all the benefits from the greens in this smoothie!

Rice bran is very high in magnesium, yogurt will provide some protein (goat yogurt has the highest protein), hemp protein is usually high in fiber plus the Omega 3 benefits, matcha green tea will give you a very good kick of energy, nutritional yeast is a great source of the vitamin B complex for your nervous system, flaxseed oil is the highest vegetable source of Omega 3, mango is sometimes enough sweetener and it contains some good vitamin A,  avocado is a great way to make the smoothie a sustained source of energy with healthy calories! A hint of detox, yes please spirulina! Blend and enjoy!

This is a great way to start your day and enjoy with your morning coffee or tea. It is literally a bomb of energy just waiting to blast! It is also very easy to make… basically blend all ingredients and voila!… Only for the chocolate layer from the top mix coconut oil and cacao… my mouth starts watering as I am writing this two ingredients… they are very healthy as coconut oil contains laurie acid which has antiviral properties to give your immune system a helping hand; and cacao, the highest vegetable source of magnesium which can help prevent diabetes as it can help regulate blood sugar, and as well helps keeping you in a good balanced mood.  Start the day with this treat and enjoy the ride! You can cut it into small bits and have them as a treat-or-trick snack for the family!

Super Easy High Protein Vegan Chocolate Mousse

Vegan Cocolate mousse

This chocolate mousse is a perfect treat for the afternoon, or as a snack at work. It has all the good complete protein from Tofu, some extra protein from peanut butter, the anti-oxidants and great dose of magnesium from cacao, and for a little lift of energy you can use some maple syrup, raw brown sugar, or for vegetarians you can use some honey.

It is absolutely delicious and super easy to make even for those with a busy schedule. Try it!
